Edward Harrison Obituary
Eddy was born on August 4, 1960, in Milan, Missouri, to William and Mildred (McClaskey) Harrison. He graduated from Milan High School in 1978. Following graduation, he joined the Navy which took him to Waukegan Il. Upon his return to Milan he worked as a farmhand before beginning a long career in the logging industry, where he spent many years doing work he enjoyed.
In his free time, Eddy loved rebuilding anything with a motor and watching old western movies.
Eddy was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mildred Harrison; his brother, Danny DeRyke; and his brother, Timothy Harrison.
He is survived by his children: Shayla Precht and husband Tommy of Republic, Manny Harrison of Green City, stepdaughter Jessica Sanchez of Milan and Jake Harrison of Unionville. He is also survived by his four grandchildren: Mackenzie Precht of Republic, Myles Precht of Springfield, Gunner Harrison of Chillicothe, and Tristin Harrison of Green City. Additional survivors include his brother, Kenny DeRyke, and wife Janice of Milan, three great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Eddy will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, January 16, 2026 at Ruschmeier-Smith Funeral Home in Milan, Missouri. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Elmwood Cemetery, North of Milan, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Elmwood Cemetery.
