As it turns out, my career has in some ways paralleled that of Ed. I overlapped for most of 7 years with Ed in the Petroleum Products Department at GR&DC before spending the bulk of my career with Alcoa after the acquisition by Chevron. Curiously enough, the main focus of my career after GR&DC was metalworking fluids (for aluminum processing). I too am a life member of ASLE (now STLE). My condolences to the family on Ed's passing.
