Edward Kenney Obituary
Edward J. Kenney, 91, died at Chase Memorial, New Berlin, NY on Friday, January 23, 2026. He was predeceased by his wife of 32 years, Barbara (Frazey) Kenney, in 1990, and is survived by his companion of 30 years, Caroline S. Pletl.
EJ is survived by 3 daughters and son-in-law: Lisa Kenney Rodriguez, Donna & William Matson, Margaret (Peg) Kenney; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren: Ellen (Scott) Matson Hicks and their children, Theodore and Madeline; Stephen (Chelsea) Matson and their children, August and Hugo; Allison (Andy) Garcia and their children, Jude and Reed; Matthew (Cj) Rodriguez; his sister, Madeline Kenney DeMichiel; and a niece and nephew, Catherine (James) Schaad and Stephen (Myrna) DeMichiel.
He was a graduate of New Rochelle High School, New Rochelle, NY and Denison University, Granville, OH.
He was a veteran of the 505th Abn. Inf. Regt. of the 82nd Airborne Division, US Army in Fort Bragg, NC.
He was manager at: GAF Corp, Binghamton, NY; Stickley-Siver, Vestal, NY; Coastal Photo (Supermarkets General Corp./Pathmark), Mt. Laurel, NJ.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
