Edward E. Knippenberg, 95, of St. Paul, MN passed away on February 3, 2025. Ed was born on August 11, 1929 to Elmer and Angeline Knippenberg.
Dedicated to serving his country, he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1948. Ed served in combat operations in Korea and Vietnam. After 21 years of service and attaining the rank of MSG, Ed retired from active duty.
Ed was preceded in death by his loving wife Catherine.
He is survived by children, Tom, Sharon and Tim along with five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
There will be a funeral service at Church of St. Patrick's of Edina (6820 St Patricks Ln, Edina, MN 55439) on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 11AM with a visitation 1 hour prior. There will be a private burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery Thursday, February 20, 2025.
