Edward Kunz "Eddie," age 56, died unexpectedly on Sunday, January 30, 2022, surrounded by his family. Eddie was born in Ridgewood and spent his early years in Midland Park before becoming a resident of the Eastern Christian Children's Retreat in Wyckoff. Eddie is survived by his loving parents, Richard, and Mary Kunz of Midland Park, his four devoted brothers: Jeffrey Kunz and his wife, Lorraine of Oakland, John Kunz and his wife Donna of Oakland, Joseph Kunz and his wife, Angela of Fair Lawn and Richard Kunz and his wife, Kristen of Ramsey. Eddie is also survived by nine nieces and one nephew and his extended family and staff of the Children's Retreat. Eddie could put a smile on the faces of everyone he met and joy in their hearts. Numerous people have been blessed with having Eddie as part of their lives. The family will receive friends on Friday, February 4, 2022, from 3:00 – 7:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ. Prayers will be said on Saturday, February 5, 2022, beginning at 9:15 AM at the Funeral Home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM at Church of the Nativity, 315 Prospect Street, Midland Park, NJ. The interment will be at Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes, NJ. For everyone's health and well being the Kunz Family requests that masks please be worn for the visitation and funeral mass. As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Eastern Christian Children's Retreat, 700 Mountain Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ 07481 would be appreciated.
