Edward Laskowski, lovingly known as Ed, passed away on December 1, 2025, in Orlando, Florida. He was born on August 5, 1948, at Clark Air Force Base in the Philippine Islands and moved with his family to Niceville, Florida, at the age of three.

A proud and highly decorated Vietnam Veteran, Ed honorably served in the United States Army from 1967 to 1977. His military career took him across six continents and countless countries-experiences he often recalled with great pride and gratitude. He cherished the opportunities he had to see the world and the people he met along the way.

Following his service, Ed enjoyed a long career in the IT industry, living and working in several states. He especially loved his time in El Paso, Texas, and Kansas City, Missouri. His work eventually brought him to Memphis, Tennessee, where he met Linda. The family later settled in Florida and were married in a beautiful ceremony in Key West.

Ed will be remembered for his easygoing spirit, sharp wit, warm sense of humor, and his deeply caring nature. In his free time, he could often be found reading, fishing, boating, or planning his next adventure. He lived life with curiosity, gratitude, and a gentle heart.

He is predeceased by his wife, Linda Leach-Laskowski, and survived by his daughters, Sally Malinowicz of Dunedin, Florida, and Kati Edge (Tommy) of Mount Juliet, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Julia Malinowicz, Jackson Edge, and Lorin Edge; and many beloved extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

A memorial service with military honors will be held on January 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) in Ed's honor.
