Edward Louis Lemmerman, Jr., 74 , of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025, in Marlton, New Jersey. Born on January 6, 1951, in Camden, New Jersey, Ed's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his country, his family, and his community.

Ed honorably served in the United States Marine Corps as a Corporal from 1969 to 1973, demonstrating early on his commitment to service. He continued his military career in the US Army from 1974 to 1979 and later joined the Army National Guard, where he retired as a Captain in 1995. His military service was a significant part of his life, and the discipline and respect he learned in the armed forces carried over into every aspect of his personal and professional life.

After his retirement, Ed remained active in various veterans' organizations, including the Marine Corp League, American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and Disabled American Veterans. His involvement in these groups was not just a testament to his dedication to fellow service members but also a source of camaraderie and support.

In his spare time, Ed found joy in reading and working on military models, a hobby that allowed him to express his creativity and attention to detail.

Ed's legacy is carried on by his loving wife of 48 years, Judith A. Lemmerman, who stood by his side through every chapter of their life together. He was a proud father to his sons, Edward Louis Lemmerman, III (Shannon) and John Edward Lemmerman (Jennifer), and a doting grandfather and great-grandfather to six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Joyce Bates and Leslie Lemmerman.

A graveside service will be held for close family and friends, at 11:00 am, on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08562. Please arrive at the cemetery by 10:45 am, as we will meet at the welcome center.
