Edward McCumber Obituary
Edward “Punky” Eugene McCumber, age 57, resident of Kinards, passed away, Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Hospice of Laurens County.
He was born on June 24, 1968 in Clinton, SC, and was the son of the late Ralph and Corrine Taylor McCumber. Punky was employed with Propak through the Walmart Distribution Center. He deeply enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors, but most of all, he cherished spending time with his family and friends. He was a religious man and enjoyed attending Freedom Baptist Church.
He is survived by his best friend, Mary McCumber; his children, Justin McCumber (Ashley), Brandon McCumber (Tara), and Reva McCumber (Shane); his grandchildren, Brandon McCumber Jr., Alex McCumber, Brooklyn McCumber, Jayce McCumber, Nevaeh Kimberlin, Lukah McCumber, Kyler Hughes, Leon Day, and Azalea Orr; his sister, Holly Quinn (Ronnie); his nephews, Austin Bates and Joe Bates; and his best furry friend, “Chief”.
A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, November 21, 2025 from 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM at his home.
