Edward Miller Obituary

Edward, the son of Milton "Shark" Miller and Mary Ann (Wells) Miller, was born in El Dorado, KS on February 19, 1960. He resided in Hudson, KS all his life. As a young man, he was known to demo cars in local fairs and enjoyed competing in dirt track racing on Friday nights. He worked his entire life in the oil field. He started out as a derrick hand and ended his career as the Driller, managing a 4-man crew. He spent time fishing, hunting and learning about wildlife.
Ed met Sherry (Wheeler) Miller in May of 1981. The two married August 20, 1983, spending a total of 44 years together. They had two daughters, Melissa and Melanie Miller.
Ed loved spending time with his grandchildren, Kinnley and Kyler, teaching them to ride motorcycles and shoot BB guns.
Ed passed away September 29th, 2025, at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. He will be missed and remembered by many.
Survivors include wife Sherry, of the home. Daughters; Melissa Miller of Liberal, KS. Melanie Miller (Eric Cape) of Great Bend, KS. Grandchildren; Kinnley and Kyler Cape of Great Bend, KS. Brother; Mike Miller of Hudson, KS.
Preceded in death by Parents; Milton "Shark" Miller and Mary Ann (Wells) Miller. Brother; Raymond Johnson
