Edward Miller Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sunnyside Funeral, Cremation & Memorial Gardens - Happy Valley on Dec. 7, 2025.
Edward "Ed" Vincent Miller Jr., a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on December 4th, 2025, in Oregon City, Oregon, at the age of 56. Born on April 23, 1969, in Norwalk, Connecticut, Ed was a man full of life, laughter, and passion for family and friends.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Heather, who he often called his beautiful princess. Ed was a proud father to four spirited sons: Ryan, Brendan, Jordan, and Logan as well as a proud father-in-law to Valerie, who brought even more joy to his family. Ed also cherished every moment with his sister Tami, brother in law Aaron, and his niece Pearl. Ed leaves behind his loving parents, Edward Sr. and Charlene, who instilled in him the values of kindness and generosity.

Ed had a dynamic career that reflected his vibrant personality. He owned a card shop for ten years before transitioning to restaurant management for 15 years at Biscuits Cafe and Kitchen Table Cafe. Just before his untimely passing, he found his passion in being self-employed, selling Godzilla collectibles and other unique items-a venture that he truly loved.

Known for his smart and quick-witted nature, Ed always brought a smile to those around him. He had a spontaneous spirit that drew people to him. His authenticity and sense of humor made him a treasured friend and a source of support for many. He was the life of the party - the talented joker who could lighten any mood. He had a culinary curiosity that belied his pickiness as an eater, earning him the affectionate title of a foodie among his friends.

Ed's interests were as colorful as his personality. He loved traveling, particularly memorable trips to Maui with his family and best friend, Nathan. He had a special fondness for scary movies, often shared with his daughter-in-law, and cherished moments watching football and UFC with his sons and dad. His passion for music filled his life, he loved attending concerts. In his own words, "My life in music... and beaches. I'm finding myself and I'm leaving my body here." Ed leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Rest in peace, Ed. You will be missed dearly, but your spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved you.

"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."- Jeremiah 29:11

I am so heartbroken by this sudden loss. Ed was like a father to me in my early 20´s and was there for me in a dark time in my life always with love and support.
We bonded over our love for pop punk and had many heart to hearts through the years I worked at Biscuits/Kitchen Table. He came to my wedding and the opening of my restaurant... To say he was the best boss I ever had would be an understatement. He was a manager who truly cared for his employees and that is rare to come across in today´s world. He had a great sense of humor and a big heart.
He was loved and will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to the Miller´s. I am beyond sorry, words cannot express the sadness that comes with this unexpected loss.

With love,
Jacquelyn Misiak
