Eleanore Frazier Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sunnyside Funeral, Cremation & Memorial Gardens - Happy Valley on Dec. 3, 2025.
Eleanore Jeane Armstrong was born December 27, 1928, to Hubert and Esther Armstrong, in Portland, OR. She grew up in North Portland along with her older siblings, Dorothy Armstrong Craven and Robert Armstrong. Eleanore graduated from Jefferson High School and attended Pacific College (now George Fox University) in Newberg, OR, where she met Bertram Leroy Frazier. After waiting for his return from service in WWII, Eleanore married Bert on June 12, 1948.

Eleanore loved providing a home for Bert and for her three sons, Michael, Clifton and Wayne. She especially enjoyed her time with Bert sharing a love of music, gardening, and long walks!

Eleanore spent countless hours pouring her life into Lynwood Friends Church. She graced the services there with her talent in worshipping her Lord on both the piano and organ. The abundance of her flower garden gave visual praise to the Father week after week. Eleanore was faithful as both secretary and treasurer of the church along with many other tasks of maintenance, cleaning and hospitality which she performed alongside Bert. For several years Eleanore administrated and taught in a Kindergarten program at the church.

Eleanore is survived by three sons, Michael (Donna), Clifton (Naomi) and Wayne (Stina), seven grandchildren (and spouses) and 17 great-grandchildren all of whom will miss her greatly. Her family has been blessed by and will be forever grateful for her kindness and love.

On November 17, 2025, with sadness at the loss of her presence with us, but with great joy in knowing she is in the Presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we said goodbye to Eleanore Jeane (Armstrong) Frazier.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Eleanore's name may be made to the Twin Rocks Friends Camp, 18705 N. Hwy. 101, Rockaway Beach, OR 97136.
