Edward "Eddie" Paul Moore, age 58, of Lynchburg, passed away on Jan. 25, 2026.
He was born on Wednesday, Aug. 23, 1967, at Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro, the son of Terry G. and Ruth Ann Allen Moore.
Eddie was married to Betty Stagge Hill in August of 1994, who preceded him in death on July 3, 2001. Eddie was a graduate of Lynchburg Clay High School, Class of 1986. After graduation, he joined the US Army and took basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia, and then completed his service in Bamberg, Germany. He worked at CTL-Aero Space in Sharonville.
Over the years, he was an active member and volunteer in many organizations in the community. He was a Past Master of Lynchburg Lodge #178. He was also a Past District Educational Officer for the 7th Masonic District and was installed this year as the District Deputy Grand Master. He was also a member of the Hillsboro Chapter #441 Order of the Eastern Star.
Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his father, Terry; grandparents, Delbert E. and Mildred Allen and Paul and Juanita Moore.
Eddie is survived by his mother Ruth Ann Moore; sister, Christa Moore; step-son, Brandon (Caitlin) Hill; four step grandsons, Brandon, Brayden, Zander, and Hudson Hill; two step granddaughters, Ivy and Diena; special aunt, Darlene Michael; five other aunts; numerous cousins; and a special family friend who helped his mother and sister, Jamie Garrison and her daughter, Ivy.
In our time of sorrow, the family has been comforted by the many prayers and expressions of sympathy and kindness from family, friends, and neighbors. The family requests, instead of flowers, to please donate to a charity of your choice.
Visitation for Eddie will be held on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Davis-Turner Funeral Home. Following the visitation at 1:00 pm, funeral services will begin with funeral rites being held by Eastern Star, followed by a Masonic Service and a funeral service, all at Davis-Turner Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery with military honors presented by the Highland County Honor Guard.
