Edward P. Muniz, 58, of Monahans, TX passed away on Tuesday July 11, 2023 peacefully in his home.
Edward was born in Pecos, TX to Tiburcio and Juanita Muniz on October 19, 1964. He attended school and graduated from Monahans High School in 1983. He fell in love with and married Gina Aguilar on February 22, 2020, after a 6 year courtship. He loved mountain biking, fishing and hunting. He especially loved riding his “Mula” with his wife, girls and grandchildren. He worked for Brantley trucking as a swamper for over 20 years. In 2019 he began working for Ward County Precinct 3. When he started dating Gina, he became an active member of St. John Evangelist Catholic Church as a Knight of Columbus in 2018 and a hospitality member. He was also proud of being a member of the Odessa Chapter of Knights on Bikes. He was proud to be a servant of God. After work he could be found doing lawns, which he was so proud of doing a good job on. Customers were always so happy with and loved him.
In his free time he would like to drive to Pecos to eat or drive to Kermit or Odessa for a meal with his people who were always up for dinner anywhere; Ciara, Javi, Mila “Bobies”, Aurora, Octavio, Tori and Angel. Everyone in town or church always asked for his “muneca” (Mila), she was never far from his side.
Edward is preceded in death by his parents Juanita and Tiburcio Muniz, older brother Vidal Muniz and sister-in-law Espa Muniz.
He is survived by his wife Regina Muniz, daughter Madison Muniz, Taylor Garcia and Shawna, Ciara McCormack and Javi, grandchildren Mila Ramos :Bobies”, Addison Hicks, Michal Hicks, and Soren Montoya, Siblings Olivia Blain, Mark, Adolfo Muniz, Sandra, Angel Muniz, Nick Muniz, Beatrice Weisman, Bob, Tommy Muniz, Lety, uncle Emilio Pena, aunt Emma Pena, aunt Ernestina Natividad, uncle Manuel Pena, and many many cousins, nieces and nephews who loved him so much.
