Edward "Eddie" Emmett Nutt, 76 of Holly Springs died Thursday March 17, 2022 at the Ouachita County Medical Center at Camden. Born May 23, 1945 in Dallas County, he was a son of the late Marlin Nutt and Virginia Quarles Nutt. He was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church and was a dryer operator for Georgia-Pacific.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda Chambliss Nutt and a brother, Steve Nutt. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Nutt of Holly Springs; two daughters, Connie Castleberry and her husband Tommy of Holly Springs, Sonya Bean and her husband Anthony of Holly Springs; three step-sons, Johnny Clemons and his wife Leann of Jacksonville, FL, Joshua Clemons of Waco, TX, Clayton Rodgers of Bearden; a step-daughter, Vanna Rodgers of Arkadelphia; a brother, Randy Nutt of Harrison; four grandchildren, Trevor Castleberry, Adrian Castleberry, Rebecca French, Lindy Bean; ten step-grandchildren; one step-great grandchild.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Benton Funeral Home at Bearden. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Holly Springs Baptist Church with Rev. David Dillard and Rev. Kenny Roy Rowland officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery. Arrangements are by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce/Bearden.
