Edward Ortiz Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ingold Funeral & Cremation - Fontana on Dec. 15, 2025.
With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we share the passing of Edward A. Ortiz, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend who left us on the evening of November 20*, 2025, at Kaiser Hospital in Fontana surrounded by his siblings. Edward carried the spirit of his hometown with him wherever he went -steadfast, warm and full of heart. Edward lived a life marked by quiet strength and unwavering loyalty. He had a gentle soul, and a caring nature that made people feel safe and valued. His laughter could brighten even the hardest of days, and his compassion reached farther than he ever realized. Edward worked for a period of time at the Kaiser Steel Mill, where he formed many friendships and earned deep respect for his hard work. He later began a career at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in Riverside, California where he faithfully worked for 17 years. He is preceded in death by his mother Ramona Magana and Stepfather Homer Magana. Brothers Samuel Magana, John Magana and Ray Magana all of Fontana. Sisters Nellie Hernandez and Madaline Magana of Fontana, and Nephew Juan Magana also of Fontana. Edward is survived by his siblings Daniel (Christine) Magana, Robert Magana, and his sister Inez Magana all of Fontana, and his sister Eva (Luis) Rojas of Beaumont. He also leaves behind six nieces and nephews, as well as seven great nieces and nephews, all of whom loved their uncle Eddie. To our family, Edward was a source of strength and guidance. To his nieces and nephews, he was a gentle guide. To his friends, he was a steady presence - someone who listened without judgment and loved without condition. Edwards' absence leaves an immeasurable void, yet his love, his kindness, and the memories he created will continue to shine in the hearts of those he leaves behind His life was a reminder that even the quietest souls have the biggest marks. Though we must now say goodbye, we take comfort in knowing that Edward's spirit lives on in every life he touched. May he rest in everlasting peace, surrounded by love, and may our family find comfort in the beautiful life he left behind The viewing for Edward will be held, Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Ingold Funeral Chapel 8277 Juniper Avenue Fontana California from 5pm to 9pm with a rosary at 6pm. Funeral Mass will be held on December 17, 2025 at St. George Catholic Church 17895 San Bernardino Avenue Fontana California at 10am with Burial to follow at Green Acres Memorial Park and Mortuary 11715 Cedar Avenue Bloomington California 92316
