It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing Edward Wallace Owens, age 70, of Bridgetown, Ohio, who departed this life on June 5, 2025. Edward was born August 13, 1954, in Cincinnati to Ernest W. and Kathleen Owens (nee Nipper).
Ed is preceded in death his father, Ernest Owens; his mother, Kathleen Owens; his beloved son, Edward W. Owens, Jr.; and his cherished grandchild, Kristen L. Owens. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Regina E. Owens (nee Popplewell); his daughter, Jeanie M. Ungerbuehler; his son, Eddie T. (Krista) Owens; and numerous grandchildren, including Elisa E. (Joe) Burns, Tyler A. Owens, Zachary E. Owens, Haleigh M. Ungerbuehler, Kattie M. Owens, Lukas R. Owens, Lydia R. Owens, Colt E. Owens, as well as great-grandchildren Caiden A. Owens, Riley E. Burns, and Khalani L. Owens. He also leaves behind his sisters, Donna (Roger, deceased) Evans, Eileen (Jerry, deceased) Nantz, Janet (Clayton "Buddy," deceased) Anderson, and his brother, James (Maryann) Owens, along with a host of extended family and friends.
Ed was a devoted Cincinnati Bengals fan and cherished his time spent at home with family. He enjoyed vacationing at the beach, especially in Florida, and loved fishing and hunting at Lake Cumberland. Ed loved his annual trip to Best Western Toni in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Ed was known for his sense of humor, always bringing laughter to those around him with his funny one-liners and sarcasm. His best friend, Walter always told him he should have been a comedian.
As a hard worker, Ed took pride in his efforts, and he cherished the moments spent enjoying snack cakes, he was known as "Snack King." He enjoyed eating at his favorite restaurant Lake Nina, where he loved to order the fish log. His beloved poodle Will has passed, with Lucky now taking his place as a cherished pet.
A visitation will be held at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - West Side Chapel, located at 3300 Parkcrest Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio 45211 on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. There will be a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM. Burial to follow at River View Cemetery in Aurora, Indiana.
