Edward Scott Parrish, affectionately known as Scott, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away on December 13, 2025, in Wilmington, NC, at the age of 59. Born on June 7, 1966, in Durham, NC, Scott's life was a testament to love, dedication, and the joy of simple pleasures.
Scott spent his professional life as an electrician turned overseer solar panel installations at Silicon Ranch. Outside of work, Scott found joy in fishing, hunting, eating, and paddle boarding. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family, especially his girls.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Parrish; his daughters, Christa, Ariel, and her husband Josh Beerel of Fairfax, Virginia, and Amanda and her husband Ryan Lux of Troutman, NC. He also leaves behind his father Edward "Butch" Parrish and stepmother Margaret Parrish; his aunt Pepper Haynes; brothers Mike Burnett and his wife Whitney, David Burnett and his wife Rebecca, Marsh Burnett and his wife Jennifer; his sister Laurie Sparrow; and numerous cherished nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Scott's life will be held on Saturday, December 20th at 1:30 pm at Access 13, 510 N Shore Drive, Surf City, NC. The service will be officiated by Ron Dyson and Bobby Owings.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmington, NC, in honor of Scott's enduring spirit and the care he received.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Jesus, the compassionate team at Levine Cancer Institute, and their family and friends for their unwavering support during this difficult time in Scott’s life.
