Edward Raymond, Jr. Obituary
Cade - A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Cade for Edward "Ed" Raymond, Jr., 66, who passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at his residence.
A visitation will take place at St. Anthony Catholic Church on Saturday from 8:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.
A Rosary will be prayed at 10:00 am on Saturday morning.
Father Ryszard Zawadzki, SVD will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Reader will be Linda Jo Raymond. Gift Bearers will be Niecey Hebert, Brandy Hebert, and Nessina Raymond.
Ed retired from the oilfield after more than 20 years of dedicated service. He also worked as a bartender at Randol's for many years. Ed loved his family more than anything. He enjoyed cooking and always had a meal ready for his nieces and nephews. Ed was a loving brother, uncle and nephew, that will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his brothers, Lyndon Raymond, Sr. (Linda Jo), Matthew Raymond, Sr. (Nessina) and Jason Raymond (Hajji); sisters, Linda Raymond and Paula Celestine (Ricky); uncles, Albert Jacquet, MacArthur Jacquet, James Raymond (Wanda) and Octave Valsin; aunt, Mary Lee Raymond; 10 nieces and nephews, Wayne Raymond, Charissa Raymond, Ebony Berry, Niecey Hebert, Brandy Hebert, Lyndon Raymond, Jr., Reindon Raymond, Emily Raymond, Matthew Raymond, Jr., and Joshua Raymond; 17 great-nieces and nephews; and 3 great-great nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Raymond, Sr. and Creola Jacquet Raymond; paternal grandparents, Junius and Anita Raymond; maternal grandparents, Martin and Beulah Jacquet; and a host of aunts and uncles.
Pallbearers will be Donald Pomier, Ezra Mitchell, Renny Keal, Reindon Raymond, Matthew Raymond, Jr., Russell Hebert, Jr., Joshua Raymond, and Dwayne Simmons.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lyndon Raymond, Sr., Jason Raymond, Wayne Raymond, Matthew Raymond, Sr., MacArthur Jacquet, Albert Jacquet, James Raymond, Octave Valsin, Clifford Vallere, Hajji Brown, and Ricky Celestine.
The family of Edward Raymond would like to extend their deepest appreciation for everyone who came, called, or kept us in your prayers.
