Marie L. Prade

St. Martinville- A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Our Savior's Church in Broussard for Marie L. Prade, 59, who passed away on March 21, 2026 at her residence in Lafayette.

A visitation will take place at Our Savior's Church in Broussard on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of services.

Pastor Paul Neel will officiate at the funeral service.

Burial will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery in St. Martinville.

Born on September 18, 1966, in Lafayette, Louisiana, Marie was a shining star in the lives of everyone she touched, embodying the true spirit of compassion and dedication.

Marie devoted 39 years of her life as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), a career that was not just a job, but a true calling. Her passion for caring for others was evident in everything she did. Her patients, Kyngston Broussard, Mandy Paige and Derek Paige found comfort and solace in her gentle, loving nature, and she became known for her ability to listen and understand, providing not just medical care but emotional support.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Marie was devoted to her family, forever cheering on her children in their pursuits and being their #1 fan. She celebrated their achievements, big and small, encouraging them to chase their dreams. Marie's kitchen was often filled with her family as she enjoyed cooking and baking for them. She will be greatly missed, but her love and nurturing spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Howard Prade, Jr.; children, Michael Livingston (Tanyia), Kenneth Lewis (Christina), Kyoni Mason (Inis), Karen Lewis (Raven) and Marley Prade; her beloved grandchildren, Carter Livingston, Kennedy Lewis, Mariayah Nichols, Elijah Mason, Jazlyn Mason, Ryleigh Mason, Messiah Mason, and Brooklyn McLeod; her siblings, James Livingston (Windy), Marcus Dalbany, and Peter Robertson (Rhonda); step-father; Ronald Robertson; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her father, Irby Livingston, Sr; mother, Alzina Robertson; sister, Dwan Dalbany; and brother, Irby Livingston, Jr.

Pallbearers will be Michael Livingston, Kenneth Lewis, Marley Prade, Inis Mason, Peter Robertson and Marcus Dalbany.

Honorary pallbearer will be James Livingston.
