Edward Earl Scott, born on September 12, 1955, in Monroe, AR, passed away on July 26, 2025, in Kansas City, MO.
Edward dedicated his time volunteering with Journey to New Life, where he helped for many years. He took great pride in being associated with an organization that positively impacts the lives of many people in the community.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, L.A. Smith and Rowena Scott; his brothers, Alfonsio Scott & Thomas Scott; and sister, Ruthie Wade.
Edward is survived by his daughters, Lashon Hudson and Purche Hudson; son, Larry Hudson; six grandson's, nine granddaughters, and a host of great-grandchildren, each of whom carry forward his memory. He is also survived by his nieces, Pearl Wade, Monique (William) Moore, and Alfonsia Scott; nephews, Ricky (Sealy) Robinson, Alfonsio Scott, and Bennie Wade; six great nephews, three great nieces, four great-great nephews, and three great-great nieces.
A funeral service honoring Edward’s life will be held on August 2, 2025, beginning at 12:00pm at St. James Catholic Church, 3909 Harrison St., Kansas City, MO 64110.
Edward Earl Scott will be deeply missed but warmly remembered by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
