Edward Smith was born in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands on Monday, August 9th in 1943, to Delita Martin and Edwardo Smith. He passed away on Saturday, August 9th 2025 in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of 82.
He was a loving husband, a man of great faith, and a lifelong fan of baseball.
He is preceded in death by his parents Delita Martin and Edwardo Smith and son Allison Smith.
He will be survived by his wife Mavis Smith; his son Neil Smith; daughters Tamisha Smith, Jacklyn Smith, Denise Smith; daughters-in-law Monica Bute-Smith, Dionne Rhymer-Smith; brother Franklin Smith; sisters-in-law Eurita Magras Parker and Essetta Barry; brothers-in-law Melvin Hodge and Rueben Barry; 16 Grandchildren, 20 Great-Grandchildren, and numerous Great-Great-Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, August 18th at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Alpine Funeral Home at 2300 N Sylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76111.
