Edward Smyers Obituary

Edward Scott Smyers, aged 72, passed away on February 2, 2025. He was a remarkable husband, an extraordinary father, a beloved grandpi, and a cherished friend, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born on August 8, 1952, in Indiana, Pennsylvania, Ed attended West High School and subsequently excelled as a bricklayer at Corning Inc. Throughout his career, he was recognized for his diligent work ethic, unwavering dedication, and genuine passion for assisting others.
Ed is survived by his devoted wife of 52 years, Dianne; his children, Valerie (Garret) Callahan and Steven Smyers; his grandchildren, Mikayla, Austin, Beckett, and Fisher; as well as numerous family members and friends. His legacy will be cherished by all who knew him.
As a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Ed treasured the time spent with his children and grandchildren, relishing in storytelling, playing games, and supporting their participation in sports-one of his true passions. He consistently offered guidance, support, and encouragement, regardless of the challenges they encountered.
One of Ed's greatest passions was his Harley and which afforded him numerous adventures and the opportunity to forge lasting friendships along the journey.
His love for riding and the open road was an integral part of his life.
A Celebration of Life will be held at High Point Golf Club on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at 5pm.
