Obituary published on Legacy.com by Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc. - Dallastown on Mar. 13, 2026.
Edward D. Stearn, 76, of Lower Windsor Township, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at WellSpan York Hospital.

He was the loving husband of Barbara A. (Wolf) Stearn, with whom in January he celebrated 58 years of marriage.

Born September 20, 1949, in York, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Luther Stearn and Nora (Cooper) Stearn.

Edward dedicated 50 years of service to Kinsley Construction, working in various departments throughout his long career. Outside of work, he enjoyed farming and boating, and he was known for his unique and often quirky sense of humor that brought smiles to those around him. Edward had a deep love for animals, and he took great pride in his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He was a member of the Prince Athletic Association (Prince Club) and the Red Lion VFW.

In addition to his wife, Edward is survived by his two daughters, Michele and her husband, Ed, and Tracey and her husband, Sean; four grandchildren, Nicole, Eddie, Cameron, and Brody; and three great-grandchildren, Joseph, Jocelyn, and Abigail. He is also survived by a brother and five sisters, many nieces and nephews, along with his beloved cats, who were dear companions to him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters.

A viewing for Ed will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 W. Main St., Dallastown. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the York County SPCA at www.ycspca.org.
