Edward Stenson Obituary
He was born Nov. 8, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Thomas and Mary Ofarrell Stenson. Edward was a U.S. Marines veteran of Korean War. He married Faith Etzkorn in 1971 in Chicago, Illinois, and was a conductor for Chicago Belt Railroad for more than 45 years.
Edward lived in Mountain Home since moving from Hickory Hills, Illinois, in 2002. He volunteered with the Rodney-Jordan Volunteer Fire Department.
Edward is survived by his son, Kenneth (Sandra) Fobert of Norfork, Ark.; daughter Lenore (Todd) Fobert McClaskey of Gassville, Ark.; daughter Donna Stenson; granddaughter Faith Fobert; sister Josephine Grund; and brother, Thomas Stenson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; siblings, Connie Sorenson, John Stenson and Patrick Stenson; and son Keith Fobert.
A Memorial Service for Edward will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, Dec. 1, 2025, at Harmony Freewill Baptist Church, with Military Honors provided by the United States Marine Corps and the Alley-White American Legion Post 52 Honor Guards.
Memorials may be made to the Rodney-Jordan Volunteer Fire Department.
