Edward Darwin Sweazy, age 61, returned to his Heavenly Father on Friday, October 31, 2025, which was his favorite day of the year. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on Monday, October 5, 1964, to the late Edward E. Sweazy and Ruby Jean Case.

Edward was a Baptist by faith. He proudly served as a Sergeant in the United States Army. He was also an engineer, mechanic, realtor, and hairdresser. He liked to dance and loved working on computers. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Sherry Carey and Theresa Samples.

He is survived by his siblings, Pam Stillwell, Tammy Gowen and Larry Glenn Sweazy Sr.; his partner and the love of his life, Daniel Bruce; his dear friend, James Hillenburg Jr.; favorite niece, Kayla Hamblin along with a host of dear family and friends.

To honor Mr. Sweazy the family has chosen cremation and has entrusted Hardy-Close Funeral Home with his care.
