Edwill Evan Burk was born in Eagar, Arizona on December 11, 1933 to Charles Fredrick Burk and Vera Lund Burk. Evan passed away at his home, Wednesday, July 30, 2025, peacefully in the presence of his family and the visiting Gila Monster, Mabel.
Raised in Round Valley in the White Mountains of Arizona, he joined the military in his late teens and was stationed in Korea and Idaho. Evan married Mary Blair of Springerville in 1955. They lived in Idaho and California, and had two daughters. After divorcing in 1968, Evan returned to Springerville, where he met and later married Diane McNair. They have worked side by side ever since and have one son. Having experience at a variety of construction and engineering jobs, and being a hard worker, Evan was able to turn that knowledge into a successful business for the last 42 years.
Evan is preceded in death by: his parents, his step- father, Calvin Lesueur; brothers, Mervin and Deno; and sister, Chon.
Evan is survived by: his devoted wife, Diane; daughter, Nikki (Bradley Olsson); daughter, Kaycee Schultz; son, Dan Burk (Lizz); as well as 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the kind and loving caregivers at Haven Hospice.
Evan will be greatly missed by his family.
Memorial services for Mr. Burk will be conducted Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Duncan Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
