Edwin Bush Obituary

Edwin M. Bush Jr. died at his home on November 13, 2023 at age 97. He was born in Manhattan and spent his childhood on Long Island. After his graduation from Garden City High School in 1943 he went to Swarthmore College which he left in his sophomore year to join the Navy while still 17.

After spending 2 years in the Naval Air Corps he returned to Swarthmore Graduating in 1949. He then joined TPF&C (Towers, Perrins, Forster, & Crosby) where he was a consultant on Employee benefits and executive compensation, Vice President of the Midwest Offices and a Director of the Firm. His other activities ranged from being President of the Winnetka PTA and serving on the Board of Swarthmore College.

After retiring from TPF&C he was part of the private section studies of the Governments of New York City and Chicago and did some work for the United Nations Development Committees.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, his three children (Nancy, Betsy (Tom) Jones, and Brad), his stepchildren (Karen Bloodgood and Sam Bloodgood), seven grandchildren, and one great-grandson.
