Dear Karen and family,

We were all shocked to hear about Ed`s passing. I guess we´ll have to put off the reunion we had talked about so many times.

His time as superintendent was one of the best things to ever happen to Scappoose Schools. No one related to people better than Ed. When he first arrived, he stepped up to coach senior girls´ softball. No superintendent had done that before. That, his high visibility and his excellent work as our educational leader, fully engaged him with the staff and the community that he served.

It´s every educator´s goal to leave a legacy like Ed´s.

Enjoy your memories. As believers, we can look forward to seeing him again on the "otherside".

Karen, I am very sorry to hear of Ed´s passing. Ed was my favorite superintendent. I really enjoyed working with him for seven years. He was a very positive upbeat person who always had a smile whenever he greeted me. He also was a friend and I loved talking to him especially about fishing. May you find comfort in your fond memories of your life together. Ted Moon
