On October 29, 2025 Edwin (Ed) Glenn Haynes lost his courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease.
Ed was born in South Haven, Michigan on December 27, 1952 to parents Anson and Theresa (VanZant) Haynes.
Edwin graduated from South Haven High School in 1971. He continued his education at Grand Rapids Junior College and graduated from the Culinary Arts Program.
Ed worked for many years as a Sous Chef in Grand Rapids and the Detroit area.
Although Ed liked cooking, his real passion was growing plants of all kinds. His favorite were flowers. Ed helped to plant and maintain flower gardens at his South Haven family home.
Edwin was preceded in death by his parents and his older sister Barbara Heyboer.
He is survived by his younger sister Margaret Guimond, Brother-in-law Ted Guimond and their sons Andre and Anthony Guimond, Barbara's husband Jack Heyboer and their daughters Jennifer (Spencer) Brouwer and Gwyn (Kevin) Shelle.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Internment will be at Lake View Cemetery in South Haven, Michigan.
