Edwin Lasley Obituary
A 1972 graduate of Hixson High School, Sam honorably served in the United States Air Force, demonstrating his commitment to his country. He later devoted his career to the education sector, working as a Resource Officer for Knox County Schools, where he touched the lives of countless students and faculty with his kindness and dedication.
Sam was a man of deep faith, having accepted Jesus as his Savior at a young age, and he remained steadfast in his Baptist beliefs throughout his life. Known for his love of the outdoors, he found joy in fishing and exploring the beauty of nature.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Edith "Sissy" Lasley and father, Edwin S. Lasley.
Sam is survived and will be greatly missed by his mother, Janette Lasley; brothers, Russ Lasley and Barry Lasley (Sharon); special niece, Christen; special great nephews, Eli and Riley; special great niece, Bella; special step daughter, Melanie Harper; and special grandsons, Jared Lowe and Jordan Harper.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 11th at 10:00am at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
