Edwin Lovell, 86, farmer and retired supervisor from Stauffer Chemical Company and a resident of Lynnville, died Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at 2:30 PM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Andrew Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Lynnwood Cemetery in Lynnville. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the funeral home.

Born January 18, 1939 in Giles County, TN, he was the son of the late Milburn Lovell and the late Jewell Rose Lovell. He graduated from Campbellsville High School in 1957 and married Sue Angus Lovell on January 24, 1959. He was a former Giles County Commissioner, served on the Giles County School Board, and a member of CSX Railroad Commission Board. Mr. Lovell was a member of Graymere church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy Sue Angus Lovell; sons, Mark (Tina) Lovell and Tracy (Barbara) Lovell, both of Lynnville, TN; sister, Geraldine Cannady; three sisters-in-law, Peggy Lovell, Ann Elias and Susan Angus; six grandchildren, Jessie (Cole) Derryberry, Kandice (Tyler) Wright, Grant (Mahala) Lovell, Jaycy Lovell, Jenci Lovell, and Gage Lovell; three great-grandchildren, Kasen Wright, Kamden Wright and Kennedy Derryberry; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers, J.C. Lovell and Wayne Lovell.
Active pallbearers will be Mark Lovell, Tracy Lovell, Grant Lovell, and Gage Lovell. Honorary pallbearers will be Barry Hyatt, Steve Kelley, Kyle Helton, Philip Wright, Charles Gibson, Earl Cooper, and Guy Hester.
