Edwin Kelly Mach was born on December 15, 1948 in Mandan, North Dakota, the third child of John and Rose Mach. As a very young child he was quite ill, but God gave him 76 years of productive life.
The family moved from ND to Marysville, CA when Ed was nine years old. He graduated from Marysville High in 1967 as the salutatorian of his class. He graduated from the University of California at Davis in 1971 Magna Cum Laude in Economics and was a Phi Beta Kappa honoree. He graduated from UC Davis School of Law in 1974 in the top quarter of his class. After passing the bar exam in the fall, Ed began work as an attorney in Turlock with Moody and Johnson.
After a few years of law work, Ed decided to pursue a theological education and studied at Talbot Theological Seminary in La Mirada, CA. He graduated in 1981 with a Master of Divinity degree with an emphasis in Systematic Theology. He served as a college pastor in Eugene, OR for a few years before returning to the law practice in Turlock.
Ed continued to serve his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in many ways-college Bible study leader, individual discipleship training, member of Missionary Gospel Fellowship Board of Directors, adult Bible class teacher, mission trip to China, and multiple teaching trips to the Philippines.
Ed is greatly missed by his wife, Jane, whom he married in 1997, and by daughters Anne (Chris) Addis and Pamela Werther, and grandchildren Jared, Audrey, and Joanna Addis, sister Mary Mach, brother John (Esther) Mach, the extended family, his church, and the greater Turlock community.
Visitation will be on Monday, June 2 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The memorial service will be held at Allen Mortuary at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, June 3. For those who wish to view the service online, please follow this link: https://www.viewlogies.net/allen/n0Ehno_HZ?pin=119432
