Edwin "Dean" Scott

Dean Scott, 55 years of age, passed away on June 20, 2025, in Jackson, MS.
He was born on August 18, 1969, and was raised by his devoted mother, Barbara Wilson.
Dean was a beloved husband and a proud father. His family was the center of his world, and he found his greatest joy in being a husband and father. He cherished the moments spent with April and Lilli Grace, always putting their happiness and well-being first.
Dean dedicated 32 years of his life to law enforcement - a career that reflected his unwavering sense of duty and quiet strength. He brought calm when tensions were high, steadiness when others wavered, and a kind of clarity that only comes from experience and dedication.
He is survived by his wife, April, and daughter, Lilli Grace, as well as his mother Barbara and many other dear relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Broadmoor Baptist Church on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm followed by a celebration of life at 1:00 pm, with graveside at Mount Hermon Primitive Baptist Church in Vardaman, MS, immediately following.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who loved him.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a scholarship fund at The Canopy School, where Dean's daughter Lilli Grace is a student. Contributions will support special education services and programs that meant so much to Dean and his family and will continue to help Lilli Grace and other students.
