Edwin Arthur Womack, 97 of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully from this life on November 15, 2024. Eddie was born on November 4, 1927, to Edwin Arthur Womack Sr. and Lena Jane (Burton) Womack. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps and the National Guard.
On June 19, 1952, Eddie married the love of his life, Wanda Jo Jackson. They enjoyed 72 years together, making memories with their children and their children's families. Eddie was a devout member of the Southern Hills Baptist Church. His faith was the most important part of his life – the second most important was his family.
Beginning in high school, Eddie developed a passion for tennis and continued playing throughout his life. He also enjoyed playing golf and following Dallas Cowboys football. Music also brought Eddie happiness; he enjoyed singing, playing trumpet, and listening to "Big Band" music from the 1940s. He loved spending time watching old movies and westerns, and for Eddie, dessert was the most important part of every meal!
Eddie is survived by his wife of 72 years, Wanda Jo Womack; two children, son Billy Womack and wife Pamela, and daughter Susan Miller and husband David; along with his granddaughter, Nicole Teel and husband Beau, and his great-grandson, Bryce Teel. Eddie was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
