Edwina Gill Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brown Funeral Homes, Inc. - Mifflintown on Jul. 18, 2024.
Edwina "Eddi Kay" Gill peacefully passed away on July 17, 2024 and joined her beloved husband, Bob in their heavenly reward. She was born on June 8, 1945 in Milford Township, Juniata County and was a proud member of Juniata Joint Class of 1963. Her parents, Harry and S. Marlene Fogleman as well as a sister, Nancy Slick preceded her to the heavenly gates. She is survived by her brother, Ronald Fogleman of Durango, CO.
Eddi Kay's family was her pride and joy and includes daughters Kit Parks and husband, Roger and Rachel Dowling and husband, Jeff. She loved to brag about her three grandchildren Judd Parks and wife, Michelle; Shade Parks; and Laney Dowling and companion, Chase Lehman. In addition, her two great grandchildren, Sawyer and Lillian Parks provided her with endless joy and laughter.
Her employment career included working as a secretary, bookkeeper, butcher, and federal and state government employee. Her longest employment was with the Juniata County Assistance Office from which she retired and made many lasting friendships with her co-workers.
Eddi Kay was a friend to everyone. She loved to laugh, tell stories, play cards and games, and visit with family and friends. She and Bob took their family camping for over 40 years and hosted endless holiday and swimming parties. They also enjoyed traveling, attending shows in NYC and Lancaster, and just spending time with each other. In addition, they were dedicated members of their church with Eddi Kay serving in the past as Clerk of Session, an Elder, and co-chairing the annual Caramel Project.
A funeral service will be held at Brown Funeral Homes, Inc., 100 Bridge Street, Mifflintown on Monday, July 22,2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Nancy McClure officiating. A closed casket visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. The interment is private and will take place at New Church Hill Cemetery, Port Royal.
