Edwinna Dudley Miles

Edwinna Dudley Miles, age 74, of Dyersburg, TN, passed away peacefully at her residence on Thursday, October 30, 2025.

Born on June 5, 1951, in Union City, TN, she was the beloved daughter of the late Edward and Martha Jean Dillon Smith. Edwinna dedicated her career to serving others, working as a librarian and Correctional Officer with the Northwest Tennessee Correctional Facility. She also spent a decade each working at Dyersburg Fabrics and Dairy Queen, where she made many cherished memories. She was a devoted member of the Union City Baptist Temple Church. Edwinna had a passion for traveling, flowers, and hummingbirds, and she found joy in fishing and attending yard sales. Edwinna will be remembered for her love of life and the warmth she brought to those around her.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at Union City Baptist Temple Church with Bro. Tony Keeton officiating. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive visitors beginning at 11 a.m. until service time at the church. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her son, Thomas Dudley (Clara) of Dyersburg, TN; three daughters, Amy Dudley Carroll (James) of Jonesboro, AR, Shannon Paige Dudley Stephens (Joseph) of Trenton, TN and Tammy Koonce of Millington, TN; thirteen grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Edwinna was preceded in death by her husbands, Richard Thomas Dudley and J.L. Miles; and two brothers, Donald Smith and David Gary Smith.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Patrick Ammons, Michael Ammons, Dakota Nee, Patrick Dwyer, Arlaynna Savinski and Mathew Lewis.
