Efrain Rodriguez Crespo

Efrain Rodriguez Crespo, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2025, in Huntsville, AL. He was 85 years old.
Born in the town of Aguadilla on our beloved island of Puerto Rico, Efrain settled in Huntsville 25 years ago with the sole purpose of being near his cherished family. He was a man of unbreakable spirit and possessed a passionate voice that brought life to any room. Efrain found joy in the simple things: an afternoon of fishing, a game of dominoes, and, above all, the opportunity to tell a good story. With his unique style-and always exaggerating his feats just a bit-he ensured every family gathering was filled with laughter. He was a strong and kind man who truly enjoyed helping others.
Efrain proudly served his country in the United States Army and the National Guard, a reflection of his sense of duty, discipline, and commitment to service-values he carried throughout his life and passed on to his family.
His greatest legacy is his faith and his family. He leaves behind the love of his life and companion of 45 years, his wife Monserrate "Ñañy." Their marriage was a testament to love, commitment, and shared faith. His love for her was deep, evident, and constant; she was his greatest joy and his most faithful companion.
He is survived by his wife, Monserrate Ramos Ferrer; his daughter, Sonia Fuentes Ramos; and his grandsons, Kenneth Quiñones and Jerreth Quiñones. He is also survived by family in Puerto Rico, including his daughters Gisela Rodriguez Galera, Myrna Rodriguez Galera, and Namyr Rodriguez Galera, as well as his grandchildren Adrian Oscar, Ashley Marie, Leysha Lee, and great-grandchildren.
Efrain lived with the passion of one who knew he was loved by his Savior. We are comforted by the promise of 2 Timothy 4:7:
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
Although we will miss him dearly, we were blessed to have his presence for many years.
In honor of his life and his love for family unity, a small service will be held to commemorate his life on January 4, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Hampton Cove Funeral Home.
