Eftihia "Effie" Thomopoulos passed away peacefully on Monday, May 12th, 2025 in Bethesda, Maryland. She was born February 24th, 1932 to Panagioti Kokkosi and Zaharenia Kokkosi in Kefolonia, Greece. Effie is predeceased by her husband, George Thomopoulos, who will greet her with open arms at Heaven's Gate. She leaves behind two children, Asimina Heverly (Bill) and Fotis Thomopoulos (Stephanie), and five grandchildren, Christopher, Alexandra, and Victoria Heverly, Nicholas and Christina Thomopoulos.
A service will be held on Thursday, May 22nd, 2025 at 12:30 pm, at St. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, located at 721 Norwood Road, Silver Spring, Maryland 20905. Private Internment.
