Eileen Biggs, 95, of Geddes, passed away peacefully on Thursday at Loretto Health and Rehabilitation. Born in Staten Island, she graduated from Port Richmond High School in 1947. Eileen moved to Westvale in 1967 and built a life filled with love, faith, and dedication to her family and community. She worked for 25 years at Sears Roebuck & Co., where she was known for her kindness and strong work ethic, before retiring in 1998.
A woman of deep faith, Eileen was an active member of Grace Assembly of God Church, where she found joy and purpose in her spiritual community. She had a love for travel, especially to Wildwood, NJ, but her greatest happiness came from time spent with her family. Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Eileen was predeceased by her husband, Robert, in 1969; parents, Isaac and Anna Housman; and sister, Alma Litz.
Surviving are her daughters, Laurie (Michael) Smith and Jodi (Gary Davis) Demperio; sons, Larry (Lori), Robert (Denise), and Alec (Svetlana); 16 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be private.
Eileen will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery, DeWitt.
A special heartfelt thank you to the staff at Loretto for their exceptional care and compassion for Eileen throughout the years.
