Eileen Vaquilar Clifford was born on November 27, 1956 and passed away February 20, 2025 at the age of 68. She was born in San Francisco, California where her mother and father lived for a short while during her father's service in the U.S. Navy. Shortly after he finished his service, they moved to Fresno, California where Eileen was raised. She graduated from San Joaquin Memorial High School and attended California State University Fresno (CSUF). While at CSUF (or locally known as "Fresno State"), she was a part of the Delta Gamma Sorority. After graduating she joined American Airlines (AA) and moved to New York City where she was based for the next 35 years flying domestic routes initially for a couple years and then transferred to the more exciting international routes. During her time with the airlines, she raised two beautiful West Highland Terriers (Barnum & Bailey) until her dogs' passing. In 2005, she married William "Bill" E. Clifford at Kings Point, Long Island, New York. During their marriage, they raised two lovely Irish Wolfhounds (Buru and Druid) until their dogs' passing. Prior to and after retiring from AA in 2013, Eileen remained active in many organizations such as The Princess Grace Foundation, The Kiwi Club (organization of former flight attendants), Birthright of Islip and her local parish community of Our Lady of Lourdes in West Islip, New York. As Eileen was a devoted wife, she was equally protective and doting as a sister and aunt. Her family and close friends always came first and her Catholic faith sustained her throughout her lifetime. Ever-loving, kind and generous, she was extremely social and outgoing, enjoyed traveling, and volunteered a tremendous amount of her time to organizations and philanthropic causes she believed in. She tried her best not to miss an occasion of celebration, good fun or gatherings with family and friends. Eileen leaves behind a loving father, Felix; sister Kathy and husband Richard Johnson; brother Felix Edward and wife Barbara Lee and her two nephews, Felix LeeFu and Edward LeeJie; sister-in-law Kathy Ferro and brother-in-law J.P. Ferro.
