Venus Morandi

1924 - 2026

Venus Rose Morandi (Garbarino), age 101, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026. She was born on December 23, 1924, in Sanger, California, and spent most of her life in Fresno, California.



Venus was married to her beloved husband, Reno Morandi, for over 45 years. Together they built a life rooted in hard work, determination, and a love of family. A self-taught and resourceful woman, Venus led her family on many successful adventures over the years. From farming to investing in the stock market, she approached life with courage and curiosity. She and Reno also owned and operated a service station called Reno's Flying A. Venus loved the land and took great pride in investing in property and building a future for her family.



She was a devoted and loving mother and is survived by her four children: Sandra Fuchs, Shirley Robinson, Julie Morandi, John Morandi and a sister, Angie Qualls. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory.



Venus will be remembered for her strength, independence, and deep love for her family. Her legacy of determination, resilience, and care for those she loved will live on through the generations she leaves behind.



In honor of Venus's life, the family suggests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association in lieu of flowers.



Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Farewell Funeral Home, 660 W. Locust Ave. Ste. 101, Fresno, CA 93650.



A lunch gathering will follow the service.
