Keith "Keifer" Wayne Olson
September 6, 1956 - March 4, 2026
Kingsburg, California - Keith Wayne Olson, lovingly known as "Keifer", 69, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2026, in Kingsburg, California. Born on September 6, 1956, in Dinuba. California, Keith lived a full life of hard work, dedication, and a deep passion for the things he loved.
Keith graduated from Reedley High School and furthered his education at a computer trade school. Over the years, he built an impressive and diverse career. He worked in the oil fields in Coalinga, California, and Perryton, Oklahoma; drove semi-trucks across California; honed his skills as a carpenter in the Fresno area, and machinist in San Leandro. Maintained facilities for Safeway Corporation, inspected cars for an auction house; and served as a bus driver for a retirement community in Livermore. Keith's dedication to his work was matched only to his ability to adapt to new challenges with skill and determination.
Outside of his professional life, Keith found joy in his many hobbies. He had a passion for car shows and swap meets and was an avid collector of Match box and die-cast cars. He loved working on tractors and took pride in mowing the field on his property in Livermore. He also cherished road trips on his Harley with friends, embodying his adventurous spirit. A skilled craftsman with a natural talent for building things, Keith enjoyed constructing patio covers, shelving for the home, or anything that involved using a hammer and saw. His hands were rarely idle as he poured his creativity into projects that brought both function and beauty to those around him.
Keith is survived by his loving wife Barbara Olson; his younger brother Brian Olson and sister-in-law Tricia Olson; his children Brad Olson; Brandon Olson and daughter-in-law Desiree Olson; Bethany Tucker and son-in-law Matt Tucker; grandchildren Taylor Tucker (and her husband Justin McIntyre), Tyler Tucker (and his wife Megan Tucker); as well as great-granddaughter Sydney Tucker; Brother-in-law Dennis Jones; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Gerald Olson and Lucille Olson.
In honor of Keith's memory, donation may be made to Central Valley Teen Challenge (PO Box 391, Reedley, CA 93654) or Serve Reedley at Redeemer Church (819 W. Parlier Ave., Reedley, CA 93654). These contributions will continue to reflect Keith's generous spirit.
