Marie and family, I fondly remember your beautiful red headed smiling mother and very handsome red headed happy father taking care of my baby brother, Peter, my sister, Jennifer, and me at your farm. My parents went to Colorado with my siblings Julie and Andy. In retrospect, I can´t believe they took on 3 children. My sister and I had so much fun. Going to the chicken coop to get eggs, watching the little pigs in the mud, going in the gigantic garden, running in the cornfields, and playing dress up in her long scarves. Your parents were cheerful and happy all the time. It was a cherished memory.
Both you and she suffered so much loss, it was hard to comprehend. She still seemed to have that inner joy when we saw her infrequently as we grew up.
We are sorry for your loss of your mother and can see her reunited with your father and siblings ecstatically happy.
My condolences,
Jane La Barbera

My dear Aunt Eileen, I will always remember the wonderful opportunities I had to spend growing up with you and your family. Our time together was limited but inspirational. You suffered greatly for many years and now are at peace.
I remember the times I spent with you and Dorian and your wonderful children on the farm in Williams, which to an adolescent from New Jersey was quite thrilling - especially riding horses and raking a field with the tractor in 90 degree heat. I remember in particular your success at growing asparagus - the farmer genes clearly in the Mart line!
Our condolences go to Marie and her family, who have supported you through difficult times.
Be at rest in heaven.
All my love,
Andy

Marie and family, my deepest condolences. I give credit to your Mom, as my Godmother, for providing spiritual protection I´ve felt throughout my life. Our Moms are probably having a great time talking now. (Jesus has probably asked them to go outside to the pergola to continue visiting! ). Rob Evans

Aunt Eileen, I remember your delicious homemade strawberry jam! My siblings Ron, Sandy and Marge finished several jars for breakfast while staying on your farm in Williams, Ia, when you gratiously gave our parents a break. Your garden also impressed me, especially the dill plants. I've loved dill ever since. Thank you for all the religious books you sent me. A priest here in Spain where I live will say the old Latin Mass for the repose of your soul on June 21, 11:30 am your time. God bless you! Joan
