Byron D. Dagit, age 70, of De Pere, passed away peacefully at his home, Friday, November 29, 2024, with his loving family at his side. He was born May 29, 1954 in Storm Lake, IA, son of the late Larry Dagit and Charlotte (Waterbury) Dagit.

Byron was a graduate of Hampton Community High School, Class of 1972. He attended Iowa State University. Byron was united in marriage with Nancy Bushman, June 30, 1979 in Pine Creek, WI. 

After retiring, Byron worked for Hunter's Edge Archery. Byron was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing, archery and hunting. He had a soft spot in his heart for animals, especially the many pets he had over the years. His greatest joy was spending time with his beloved grandkids. 

Byron is survived by his wife of 45 years, Nancy; his children, Carla (Cory) Piontek and Tom (Kimberley) Dagit; 4 grandchildren: Caden, Connor, Miles and Mollie and siblings: Cynthia Bell, Bill (Millie) Dagit, Connie (Dick) Edgerton, John (Karleen) Dagit, Robert (Jolene) Dagit and Tom (Kathy) Dagit. He is further survived by a sister-in-law, Bev Dagit, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Carl and Donna Bushman; 2 brothers, Larry Dagit and Frank Dagit and a sister, Mary Lou Dagit.

Private services will be held by Byron's family.

Byron's family would like to thank the team of doctors, nurses and caretakers that cared for him through this journey that began in April.
