Eileen M. Dohrman

Eileen Minnock Dohrman, 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care with her two daughters by her side.
Eileen was born on January 27, 1948, in Queens, NY, daughter of the late CMDR Francis and Eleanor Minnock. In 1969, Eileen married the love of her life, James Dohrman. They spent the first 8 years of their marriage in New Jersey before moving to Vermont to raise their daughters, Elizabeth and Robyn. She spent several years at home raising her daughters before going back to school to earn undergraduate and master's degrees in education. When Jim's job took him overseas, she taught at the American International School in Pretoria, South Africa for several years. After returning home to Vermont, she became a beloved kindergarten teacher at Piermont Village School in Piermont, NH where she taught until her retirement.
Outside of work, Eileen loved tending to her flower and vegetable gardens. She took pride in the incredible flowers and landscaping and treasured the fresh vegetables and fruits she grew, freezing and canning all summer so she could enjoy them year-round. Eileen also cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren, Daniel and Emma, who often stayed with her during summers and school breaks. Their bond was especially close and meaningful to them all.
Eileen was predeceased by her husband James, twin sister Kathleen Wirth and parents, CMDR Francis and Eleanor Minnock.
She is survived by her daughters Elizabeth Dohrman and partner Greg of Middlesex, VT, daughter Robyn Airoldi and husband Dan of Essex, VT, brother Fran Minnock and wife Kathy of Falmouth, MA, sister Eleanor Pugh and husband Hal of Randleman, SC, brother Chris Minnock and partner Jen of Ronkonkoma, NY, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on July 26, 2025, at Trinity Episcopal Church, 120 Broad St, Claremont, NH, at 10:30 am.
