Eileen Gorman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bradley Funeral Home - Marlton on Dec. 30, 2025.
On January 20, 1965, Eileen Gorman arrived with a tiny nose, chubby cheeks and an extra chromosome. Expectations for children born with Down Syndrome in those days were low and many doctors recommended institutionalization. With the love and support of her parents, Marie and Tom, Eileen spent the next 60 years defying expectations.
Born in Philadelphia, Eileen moved to Marlton, NJ with her family in 1971. She attended school, participated in Special Olympics and kept her family on their toes. She was an excellent dancer and loved the music of Elvis and Michael Jackson. An avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, her competitive spirit was always on display. Eileen's many travels with her family generated the funniest stories and the best memories.
Eileen has made a positive impact on everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. She is survived by her parents, Tom and Marie, her siblings Kathy (Wes) Gray, Tom (Pam) Gorman and Amy (Peter) Glenane. She was a devoted aunt to her nephews Austin and Kyle Gray, Liam and Ciaran Glenane, and nieces Maire and Darcy Glenane. She was the proud Godmother of her nephews Evan and Corey (Sarah) Gray and Declan Glenane.
Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Saturday January 3 from 10-11:45am at the Catholic Church of St. Mary 2001 Springdale Road Cherry Hill NJ where Mass of Chrsitian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon. Eileen's favorite color was blue, please wear it on Saturday in memory of her! Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eileen's memory to the Little Servant Sisters of the Immaculate Conception 100 Cropwell Road Cherry Hill NJ 08003; please mail a check and note in the memo line In Memory of Eileen Gorman. The Little Servant Sisters online giving portal is not working at this time. Thank you.
