August 18, 1947 – May 22, 2025
Eileen M. Lambert, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and faithful servant of Christ, went home to be with the Lord on May 22, 2025, at the age of 77.
Born on August 18, 1947, Eileen dedicated her life to service, both to her family and her community. She was a devoted wife to Glenn Lambert, her beloved husband of 58 years, and a nurturing mother to Melanie (Eric) McMullen and Matthew (Kerri) Lambert. Her legacy of love continues through her five cherished grandchildren: Rebecca, Andrew, David, Christopher, and Nicholas, who brought her immense joy and pride. She is also survived by her sister Robyn (Don) Cobb and niece Julie (Aaron) Yarnall.
Eileen served the State of Maryland Department of Transportation with integrity and dedication for 44 years, retiring in 2014. Her commitment to faith was unwavering; she was an active member of Patterson Park Baptist Church from 1950 until its closure in 2013. Shortly thereafter, she joined Merritt Park Baptist Church.
Within those congregations, she worshipped, served, and grew in her walk with the Lord, forming lifelong friendships and impacting generations through her quiet strength and compassion.
Her life was a living example of Proverbs 31:26: "She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue." Eileen embodied grace, patience, and a servant's heart.
As we grieve her passing, we find comfort in the words of 2 Timothy 4:7: "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." Eileen has indeed kept the faith, and now she rests in the loving arms of her Savior.
A Funeral service will be held at the family owned Duda-Ruck Funeral Home of Dundalk, Inc. 7922 Wise Avenue on Tuesday May 27, 2025 at 11 AM. Friends May visit on Monday May 26, 2025 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Park.
