Eileen Ruyak

1924 - 2023

Eileen (Devlin) Ruyak, 99, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023, at Redstone Highlands, in North Huntingdon. She was born Oct. 10, 1924, in East Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Joseph and Florence Devlin. Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, John Ruyak; and her brothers, Joseph Devlin and James "Bernie" Devlin. She is survived by several nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Her family will miss her famous Christmas grab bag and spending time with her at the mountain house. Prior to retirement, she worked as an executive secretary at Westinghouse. Eileen was an avid reader and enjoyed swimming at the YMCA. While living at Redstone, she served on many committees and loved playing bingo. She was previously a member of St. Williams Parish, in East Pittsburgh, and a current member of St. Agnes, in North Huntingdon. Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the PATRICK T. LANIGAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable Ave., East Pittsburgh, 412-824-8800. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Agnes Church. Burial will follow in Braddock Catholic Cemetery. The family wishes a special thanks to the memory care init staff who took such wonderful care of her over the last two years. Also, thank you to Redstone at Home Hospice who cared for her so lovingly this past week. You were all her angels.
