Eileen Samaan Obituary
Eileen was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts a daughter of the late Leroy and Ernestine Hyland. She resided in Enfield, Connecticut over 10 years; previously having lived in Westfield, Massachusetts and the country of Egypt. Eileen graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a Bachelor's Degree. She had an extensive career as an Economist for the State of New York. Moving to Egypt she met her late husband Nassim Samaan; they were married for twenty years until his death.
In Egypt, she was responsible for writing news letter and translating the articles into the English language. Eileen enjoyed photography and writing. Eileen is survived by her sister Nancy and her husband Alan Gregg ; and her nephew Jesse Gregg.
Graveside services will take place in the Spring at the Silver Street Cemetery, in Granville, Massachusetts. There are no calling hours.
