Eileen Ann Smith

It is with great sadness that we have to say, not goodbye, but until we meet again to Eileen A. Smith (nee Finnerty) who passed at Abington Jefferson Hospital on November 9, 2025 at 8:19pm surrounded by her loving family.

Eileen was the strongest warrior we've ever known. She battled cancer bravely since her first diagnosis in 2012. She was incredibly loved by her family and everyone who met her couldn't help but fall in love with her. She was the greatest wife, mother and Nanny in the world and her family loved her as much as she loved them. She was the most kind hearted soul, she was always willing to help anyone who needed it. She loved her furry friends so much and enjoyed all their snuggles and cuddles. She never met anyone she couldn't talk to and make friends with. Even the doctors and nurses could only say what a kind, sweet and amazing woman she was. She gave us so many stories of love, joy, happiness and some of the silliest antics. She was an angel on earth, and now is the most beautiful angel in heaven as she is sitting next to Jesus whom she loved deeply. If love could have saved her, she would have lived forever.

Eileen is predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Ann Finnerty. She is survived by her loving husband Daniel W Smith, her two daughters and son in laws, Tami and Chris Ahern, Susie and Brian Freifelder. She will also be incredibly missed by her four adoring grandchildren, Cody and Emily Ahern, Talena and Stesha Freifelder.

Relatives and friends are invited to greet Eileen's family on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 from 10:00am, until the start of her Funeral Mass at 11:30at St. Bede the Venerable Church at 1071 Holland Road in Holland, PA 18966.

Her interment will take place privately at St. John Neumann Cemetery.
